Delegations from both nations met in Montréal to sign a diplomatic treaty.

The Principality of Sancratosia and the Newgraviate of Saint-Castin met in the Little Burgundy (Petite-Bourgogne) neighbourhood of Montréal, Canada to sign a treaty making official their diplomatic relations which started almost one year ago.

This treaty was the first one signed in-person by the Sovereign Princess and the first treaty signed by the Principality under its new foreign policy.

Signing a treaty with the Newgraviate of Saint-Castin, a well-established and respected nation is definitely beneficial for Sancratosia. More than that however, it strengthens the friendship established by our two nations over the course of the past year. I’m looking forward to further collaborations with Saint-Castin.
– Princess Cloe, Sovereign Princess of Sancratosia

The Newgraviate of Saint-Castin is a nation established in 2014 that has been active on the world stage, being a founding nation of the Organisation de la MicroFrancophonie and the first Canada-surrounded nation of the Conference of Santiago.

It is an honour to officialize our relations with a micronation close to our values and with a bright future ahead. This treaty opens the door to shared projects in the future.
– Dominic Desaintes, Minister-President of Saint-Castin

The meeting was the 6th one between the two delegations and the first one in 2023. The two nations also met during MicroCon 2022 as both had sent delegations to the prestigious event.

After meetings in Verdun, Little Italy, Downtown, Quartier Latin and the city of Laval, the delegations met in the Little Burgundy neighbourhood of Montréal, Canada.
