Foreign policy of the Principality of Sancratosia

Preamble

Since declaring its independence in 2021, the Principality of Sancratosia has adhered to the declarative theory of statehood. If a State has a defined territory, a permanent population, a government and a capacity to enter in relations with other States, this State has the de facto recognition from the government of Sancratosia.

The government of Sancratosia has also offered de jure recognition by presenting a formal letter from the Sovereign Princess of Sancratosia to States making the request.

The Principality has also signed a number of treaties of mutual recognition and diplomatic relations with other States and has acquired member and observer status in a number of intergovernmental organizations.

This foreign policy aims to provide a proper guideline for the establishment of official diplomatic relations and for the participation of the Principality in intergovernmental organizations.

Sancratosia prides itself in recognizing the importance of mutual recognition among micronational States and the diversity among the States on their territorial claims, their populations, and their governments.
