Law no 3 of 5 January 2022 on the nationality

BY THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE
SOVEREIGN PRINCESS OF SANCRATOSIA
We Promulgate this present law, that the National Council adopted in its session of 4 January 2022;
Chapter I. Of the acquisition of Sancratosian nationality
Article 1.
Naturalization within Sancratosia can be requested by a foreigner who is aged thirteen or more.
The nationality is given by Sovereign Ordinance after summary examination of the application by the foreigner, especially concerning the immediate renunciation of foreign nationality.
The nationality can be acquired by a foreigner who cannot renunciate their nationality, by virtue of a foreign national law.
Article 2.
The nationality can also be acquired by a foreigner who the Sovereign Princess deems dignified to receive such a nationality.
Chapter II. Of the loss of Sancratosian nationality
Article 3.
Sancratosian nationality is lost:
1. When acquiring the nationality of a foreign country;
2. When an individual declines their Sancratosian nationality in the terms foreseen by the law.
Chapter III. Of the declarations of nationality
Article 4.
The delay for the acquisition of Sancratosian nationality is no more than one month from the application made by the foreigner.
If the aforementioned delay is not respected, the applicant can refer their case to the courts of Sancratosia and enjoys the same rights and privileges of Sancratosians for the duration of the procedures.
Article 5.
In a delay of six months from the acquisition of Sancratosian nationality, the Sovereign Princess can, by Sovereign Ordinance after consulting the State Council, oppose the acquisition of Sancratosian nationality.
In the case of opposition, the person is considered to have never been of Sancratosian nationality.
Chapter IV. Final dispositions
Article 6.
Regulatory dispositions determine, as needed, the conditions of application of the present law.
Article 7.
The present law is promulgated and executed as a law of the State.
The Government Council is responsible of its publication in the Jornal de Sancratosia.
