Sovereign Ordinance no 167 of 11 October 2023 on the creation of the National Institute of Statistics

SOVEREIGN PRINCESS OF SANCRATOSIA

Considering the Constitution of Sancratosia;

We order:

Article 1.

Is instituted a National Institute of Statistics, directly placed under the authority of the Minister of State.

Article 2.

The National Institute of Statistics is charged to ensure, the following missions:

  1. to put in place a statistical information system on the structure and the activity of the Principality;
  2. to realize statistical surveys, the list of which is fixed each year by Ministerial Decree;
  3. to exploit, reconcile and produce, for statistical purposes, information collected from services of the State, from the office of the Mayor, from legal entities of private and public law possessing useful informations to the accomplishment of its missions, with the goal to establish public statistics which include the totality of the productions issued from the surveys and of the exploitation, for general information purposes, of data held by the persons and organizations aforementioned.
  4. to coordinate the statistical methods, means and nomenclatures used in Sancratosia;
  5. to observe and study the evolution of the economic situation in the Principality, its cyclical and structural movements, and to calculate measurable economic aggregates;
  6. to undertake all demographic, economic and social research, analysis and studies;
  7. to inform the public on the principles and the ethical regulations applied by the National Institute in the realization of its mission;
  8. to disseminate or publish, if applicable, the results of its work;
  9. to ensure the liaison with similar services or organizations existing abroad and to participate to international meetings and congresses concerning statistics, documentation and economic research pertaining to its competence;
  10. to provide training for the specialized staff required for its operation, ensuring in particular that such staff and any service provider assisting it, free of charge or in return of payment, respect of the confidentiality for all nominative information which they may have received the knowledge of in this title.

Article 3.

In order to ensure the accomplishment of the missions defined at article 2, the National Institute of Statistics can receive, by any means of communication, from a physical or moral person of private or public law, necessary informations for the exclusive use to establish statistics.
