Sovereign Ordinance no 159 of 7 August 2023 on the sale and the consumption of alcoholic beverages

Considering the Constitution of Sancratosia;

We order:

Article 1.

It is prohibited, in drinking establishments, shops and other public places, to sell or offer free alcoholic beverages to minors for consumption on the premises or for take out. This prohibition is clearly displayed at the entrance of and in the establishment, so as to perfectly visible and legible by any consumer entering the latter.

Home sales and deliveries of alcoholic beverages to minors are also prohibited.

The consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors is strictly prohibited on public roads, in public spaces and in establishments open to the public.

Article 2.

The sale of alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises at promotional rates is only possible for two hours between 17:00 and 21:00, provided that this promotion is also applied to non-alcoholic beverages, under the same conditions of pricing, time and information proposed by the establishment.

Article 3.

Any drinking establishment who sells or offers, free of charge, for consumption on the premises, alcoholic beverages under conditions prohibited in articles 1 and 2 is punishable by a fine of 10 000 to 50 000 Si.

In the event of a repeat offence, the minimum and maximum penalties are doubled.

Anyone wishing to purchase an alcoholic beverage, whether free of charge or in exchange of payment, must be able to prove their age by presenting an identity card or other official document bearing a photograph.
